Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 14, 2026. This policy explains what data pavingcalc.net collects, who we share it with, and how to opt out. We don't sell personal data and we don't run ads outside of Google AdSense.

1. What we collect

We collect no personally identifiable information directly. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — dimensions, prices and unit choices never leave your device.

We collect anonymous usage data through third-party services described below:

• IP address & browser metadata (anonymised) — to measure traffic and prevent abuse.
• Page views & session duration — to know which calculators are useful.
• Cookies and similar storage — set by Google AdSense and Google Analytics. We do not set first-party cookies.

2. Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser to recognise return visits. IP addresses are anonymised before processing. We have not enabled Google Analytics advertising features.

4. Cookies on this site

The cookies you may see in your browser when visiting pavingcalc.net fall into three groups:

• Google AdSense cookies — for ad delivery and frequency capping. Controlled via Google Ads Settings.
• Google Analytics cookies (e.g. _ga) — anonymous analytics. Opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
• Cloudflare cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) — bot mitigation and CDN performance. These do not track you between sites.

You can clear and block cookies at any time using your browser settings without breaking the calculator.

5. What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with brokers.
• We do not use email tracking pixels.
• We do not build user profiles outside of what AdSense and Analytics handle by default.
• We do not collect children's data — pavingcalc is not directed at children under 13.

6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you're in the EU, UK or California:

• Right to access — request a copy of any data we hold about you.
• Right to delete — request removal of any personal data tied to you.
• Right to opt out — disable analytics and personalised ads as described above.
• Right to object — to any processing based on legitimate interests.

7. Children's privacy

pavingcalc is a professional estimation tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS via Cloudflare. The calculator is client-side, so dimension data never leaves your browser. Cookie data from third parties is governed by their own security practices.

9. Updates to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for 30 days.
